Natural Expressions Photography first commenced operation in 1999 with the objective of providing relaxed, informal photography at an affordable price. In 2002 Natural Expressions was bought by Frank and Clare Lee, with the vision of providing a more contemporary, ‘fashion-influenced’ style of imaging while still maintaining a relaxed, fun approach. The studio’s philosophy is to provide a premium quality product and outstanding personal service at prices which represent excellent value to their clients.

Natural Expressions Photography’s specialty is ‘people’ photography, including weddings, family, pregnancy and baby and child portraits. Their wedding work needs to be experienced to be believed as they provide a full wedding-day coverage for the more discerning customer for whom quality photography is a high priority.

Natural Expressions has built an enviable reputation for providing beautifully designed ‘fashion magazine style’ albums that tell the story of the day from beginning to end. Their enlargements are equally as impressive with clients usually ordering one or more of the larger 40” x 30” or 30” x 24” archival quality prints to display on the walls of their homes.

Now with a team of five, including 3 photographers, Natural Expressions Photography just keeps going from strength to strength.

A professional photographer for almost 25 years, Frank started taking pictures when he was in his pre-teen years. He realised his career dream when, in 1982, he opened his first professional photography studio specialising in advertising and fashion photography. His career in advertising spanned the next 15 years during which he won some 30 international and national awards. He is a full member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP), the Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers (SWPP), the British Professional Photographers Association (BPPA), the World Institute or Photographic Masters (WIPM) and the US based National Association of Photoshop Professionals.

Frank’s quietly confident nature, wry sense of humour, genuine love of people and intense personal passion for people photography endear him to all he meets. Frank spends his rare time off indulging his passion for cooking and appreciating the incredible beauty of the Sunshine Coast hinterland.

Clare’s original career was in bio-chemistry until a move to Singapore in 1996 brought about a career change when she took up the position of Associate Publisher of Singapore’s leading lifestyle magazine, The Expat. Clare’s experience in this field has given her a strong sense of colour balance and design, and also a keen interest in customer liaison. She then moved on to establish a successful PR company before moving to Australia with her husband, Frank.

A keen sense of aesthetics, sound understanding of design principles, an eye for detail and experience in print production has led Clare into her current role of being responsible for Natural Expression’s album design and production.
